Kirsten Sands Decker is an American artist living in Dubai. Her style focuses on exploring spaces, narratives, and universal themes of the human experience such as concepts of home, location, memory, and identity.

Kirsten has a fine arts degree from Wheaton College, Massachusetts and Goldsmiths, London. She has worked as an art teacher and community worker in Ghana, Indonesia, Korea, and the USA. In the UAE she has shown her work in galleries, art festivals, and she’s participated in panels, workshops, and group shows.

Kirsten was awarded a US mission artist in the UAE grant for her series “Wanderlust" In 2022. Wanderlust was also shown as part of The Beirut Image Festival, and she recently had an artist’s showcase at SIKKA 2024.
